Thank You: Día de Muertos 2026
Arcoíris Cultural and Ballet Folklórico Oregon Coast would like to thank everyone who made Día de Muertos 2026 a celebration to remember! On Sunday, November 1st, our community gathered to remember our dearly departed and celebrate our traditions. An estimated 600 people attended this event that featured an incredible altar created by local artist Miguel Martinez and moving performances by the following artists:
🧡 Ballet Folklórico Oregon Coast
🧡 Ameyalmazatl Citlaltonal
🧡 Mariachi Michoacán de Salem Oregón
🧡 Corazón Oaxaqueño

Throughout the event, Lincoln County Public Health successfully administered the flu vaccine to more than 25 people while the following community organizations provided valuable resources and local businesses sold fresh produce, art, and more:

🌱 Healthy Families Oregon of Lincoln County
🌱 City of Newport

Our staff and dedicated volunteers ensured that the event ran smoothly from start to finish, serving up atole (hot chocolate) and bread courtesy of La Juquilita Mexican Store while Piquín & Chamoy served up fruit and candy cups. Our Catrina & Catrín contest was a success as participants showed off their intricate outfits and were rewarded with gift baskets. Crafts and face painting were available to the public as Oregon-local bilingual news outlet TV JAM captured the event on camera and shared our celebration far and wide.
